Elephant Ears
A Father's day that ends with elephant ears can only be called: The Most Awesomest Father's Day, Ever!

Amy and I made the tasty deep fried carnival treats last night in our own kitchen. We were very surprised at the outcome. Delicious is all I can say. I have now satisfied my elephant ear fix for the entire summer.

Sorry county fair. No longer shall I wade through your unbearably sweaty crowds or sidestep your sideshow freaks to feast on the ear of the pachyderm.

We're crazy, yes. Our kitchen smells like a festival but they tasted soooo good.

Oh, now I am hungry. Those look delicious!! I am a sucker for an elephant ear & some Nelson's chicken when I hit the fair. :)

Ohhhhhhh...I have wanted an elephant ear for over 5 years! In Nebraska carnivals come with funnel cakes and not elephant ears. People here don't have ANY idea what an elephant ears are and therefore, I can't procure one. Thanks for the recipe! I can make my own.
